Angry Help with a 9.2.1--DVD conflict ?

Since installing 9.2.1 on my bronze-keyboard powerbook G3, I've noticed that my internal DVD seems to need to cycle every few minutes. This used to be a problem early on with these powerbooks, but I thought the problem had been fixed. It's not causing too many problems, but it DOES disrupt mp3 playback.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

thanks!
