The Sims 2 Problems

I own a IMac G4. It meets all of the critiria except it has a 1.0 GHz CPU instead of a 1.2. I decided to try it anyways and it works just fine except that the menus/information pages (on top of everything thing else) only show up if their is something moving under it (a car or person) or if I'm moving the screen around. Does anyone know if there is a way I can fix this or it just won't be able to run on this particular computer.

Have you downloaded the patch? Well, I don't know if there is a patch for the Mac version, but the patch for the PC fixes numerous graphics problems.
