| Problem playings the Sims 2 Hi, I've had the Sims 2 since last summer, but recently I borrowed Nightlife from a friend and installed it to see how well it would play on my computer - turns out, not so well - so I deleted all Sims files effectively uninstalling it (or so I thought) and then reinstalled the game from my Sims 2 disc. Only problem is now it keeps telling me I'm running the wrong version and that I should be running nightlife. I've searched high and low on my computer with finder for any files that could conceivably be sims files, and I've trashed them. All sorts of things including installation receipts, but it hasn't helped. It's driving me mad!!!! Does anyone know what I can do?? Thanks, Charlotte |

| My guess would be that some preferences files are still there in either \Library\Preferences or <username>\Library\Preferences. You could also check the \Library\Applications Support folders for any Sims related files. If you find and just move them to the desktop or delete them and try running it again. |
