Sims 2 Neighbourhood Crashing !
I have recently reinstalled my game only to have it successfully install and load, until I reach the neighbourhood screen that is. When I try to click on a lot to enter, the game crashes back to desktop. I've tried uninstalling completely and reinstalling, installing patches (not sure the right ones though, patches are new to me ) , deleting caches and even having my disk professionally cleaned. This forum is my last hope, may have to put my sims away for good ! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated !!

That's the strange thing ! No specific error appears, it simply shuts down, returning to my desktop screen. I wonder if it's overheating, however I've had the same game installed on my computer previously for 2 years without any issues ( uninstalled it when I delved into online downloads and it screwed up the gameplay). I realize my problem is probably too vague to be solved over the internet, though I'll take any tips or advice if you have them ! Thanks !
