help needed for iChat / Jabber server set up

I want to set up my own iChat server on OSX 10.4.12 server but I have not got a clue how to configure it. After playing arround with the settings I can now connect to my iChat server but it rejects the user name. I am using the user for the server, is this correct or do I need to set up a jabber user, if so how???

The GUI for the iChat/Jabber Server is pretty straight forward. What you'll want to be sure is that your using a proper directory service with them. Do you run an Open Directory or Active Directory, etc? Make sure your server is properly set up to include the proper directory service in the authentication tab in Directory Access, etc.
