| Xserver hard drive won't mount.... I have two 80 GB hitachi hardrives in my Xserve g5. I installed and have the system up and running. However with disk utility and the finder I don't see the second hard drive. I have pulled them both out and switched them about with no end. Only one of them works. It is always one hard drive. There are green lights on both drives so they seem to be running. My system is unlocked so it can't be the peripheral problem. I am wondering if the drive is shot? Its brand new... it just won't appear. Thanks for your help in advance. Ben |

| If its brand new, have you called Apple's support line? Could be a faulty HD or sled. |
