Apple remote desktop to server not working

Recently, apple remote desktop has stopped connecting to my server when i try to connect. It was flakey before; so i would have to turn off ard access under sharing, then turn it back on. Or just restart the server "at night". But now it just sits there at the loading screen and it never comes up. Nothing on the network has changed. The user that connects to it is still the same, but i can use chicken of the vnc to connect fine ??? But, all the other ARD features seam to work on the server, such as sending files to the OS X server, ect. This is a 2ghz OS X Server 1U blade. Its a G5, running the latest apple remote desktop client "it also has the ARD full featured software installed "unlimited licensing". Lastly, its running 10.4.9. Any help would be great. Thanks.. .BTW this is a screen shot of what i get from my workstation trying to connect to the server via remote desktop.

Could be that the view/control settings got turned off. Sometimes the GUI doesn't quite get the job done. Try using the kickstart command to setup your privs again. Something like this should suffice:

/System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart/ -activate -configure -access -on -users root -privs -all -restart -agent

change the -users root to reflect the username of the user you are using.

If that doesn't work and nothing else has changed, you could try creating a new ARD package in the Admin console and sending it down to try and re-install some of the bits.

Any relevant logs on the admin console or the agent side?

Michael
