New Leopard: Creative Software suggestions?

Hi Everyone! The last time I was here I had just updated to Tiger. You guys were great! Well Santa left a brand new Mac under the tree with Leopard. I must have been a very good girl this year LOL!
So here's my new dilema(s). I need to install software. I was using Adobe Photo Elements 3 on my Tiger but apparently Leopard does not support it. I could buy a new version (?) but wondered if there was something else anyone would advise? I do a fair bit of photo retouching and effects but mostly I do graphic work such as create logos, business cards, specialty cards etc. so it is the tools that I am most interested in. Any other software you think is worth a try?

You could give Acorn a try, I have heard good things about it.

ElDiabloConCaca will become famous soon enough
Also, Pixelmator is a decent and very Mac-like PhotoShop/Elements replacement.
