what do you advise on open directory?

Hi.
I have a question about set up mac os x server.
I have windows 2000 terminal server with active directory, now I want to set up mac os x server to share files, mail server and other service.
I don't know if I set up open directory as Standalone server or master!
what do you advise?
I want to log in on mac os x server from win Terminal server.
can you help me?

You can be an Open Directory Master to provide additional Mac OS X user management or other such services. You also could simply be connected to the Active Directory as a Domain Member. Either way, you'll want to properly bind the Mac OS X Server to the Active Directory, so that you can leverage the domain user names and password information.

Which OS X Server build are you using?
