| Please help me setup a basic network
Tittle pretty much self explanatory. See attachment. Through help in other forums, this is the current status: - A Record something.mydomain.com pointing to my fixed IP; - MX Record pointing to something.mydomain.com; - Thomson TG508 router forwarding port 25 to 192.168.1.64; - Snow Leopard Server with fixed IP 192.168.1.64; - Airport in bridge mode with fixed IP 192.168.1.65; - Right now re-installing Snow Leopard Server, because I think it will be easier to setup the mail service using the initial wizard. Can someone guide me through the install process until I have mail, webmail and iCal services running? All best, Toxa |

Put your DLS modem into transparent mode and let your airport handle the rest. ALOT simpler and easier to manage/diagnose. Your diagram indicates time capsule, but, your post mentions airport. Which is it? When you update your MX records, it might take an hour for your DNS to register it and outside clients to transfer mail through. |
