Changing the dock display...

Does anybody know how to change the dock display so that the little triangle beside active applications changes with the current "foremost" application?

I still sometimes get a bit annoyed when I have to look at the name in the top left to find out what program I'm in... if the dock is to be used it should also give visual clues as to the current app. eg change the triange to red.

That "hidden feature" was removed in the interim builds when transitioning to 10.1. It is gone now.
