| Netbooting - without osx server
Anyone want to try this? Here are some links I found while looking it up: http://mike.passwall.com/macnc/ http://frank.gwc.org.uk/~ali/nb/ I really think this should be pretty easy to do, especially under Mac OS X Workstation. I guess all we need is dhcpd and we'll be ready. ps: I'd do it but all my macs are too old to net boot (except my g4, but I doubt it would boot neatly off a g3 266...) I read over those links and was simply inspired. Any takers?

| which client OS?
From my brief, perfunctory reading of the pages you linked to, my impression was that only classic Mac OS can be netbooted - you can't have the client machines boot into OS X. This would make the whole thing pretty much pointless for me, really. Of course, I only have the one computer, so it's all dreaming anyhow...
