WMP and WMP plugin dosen't work

For about a month now, my copy of Windows Media Player hasn’t been working.

Whenever I try to open WMP it bounces in the dock a bunch and just stops after a while. And whenever I try to watch a WMP movie online, my browser freezes.

I’ve tried re-installing several times but it doesn’t fix the problem. I recently had to re install OS X, so I figured it would probably work. So I re-installed it again and it still didn’t work!

Help.
