Question Problems to read CDR after MacOSX

I have an imac. After the installation of the MacosX I have had several problems to read CD-R. All my backup data, now in a CD-R can not be readed, once after insert the CD-R in MacOSX, nothing happens and with OS 9 I receive a message if I want to initalize the CD.... Before the MacOSX installation everything happens naturally with no problems. Any ideas how to read a CD-R? Note the some CD-R can be readed with sucess, but before all !! What´s happenning? How to fix it.... Thanks for help.
