Are there any known compatibility issues with Flash 5 running in Classic mode under Mac OS X. Whenever I launch Flash 5 (a classic app) my system doesn't even launch into Classic mode. The icon bounces in the dock but absolutely nothing happens after that. Any clues? //flingford http://typophile.com (System: Mac OS X 10.1.4 on a PbTi/667/512mb) |

I have never had problems with Flash 5 launching under classic, but there are some performance issues that I've run into. key presses and clicking can be rather unresponsive. For instance, hitting F5 to add frames requires time between key presses if you are adding multiple frames. Selection Boxes don't move as fast as the mouse. And sometimes the cursor changes to the wrong cursor for me and is difficult to get back to the tool I want. Don't know if anyone has had the same experiences as me, but I just got Flash MX and it doesn't have any of these problems.

I got it to work. I had a missing extension in my OS 9 System folder. Duh. Thanks for the tip on MX. |
