Can MacOS X Server be used as the same as MacOS Client?

Dear All,

This question might already be on the Forum already, and if it is, I'm sorry. I did so a search beforehand, but I was unsuccessful in finding what I want.

Anyway, here is my question. I have both MacOS X Client and Server software and I want to learn all about PHP etc, especially developing websites like this one (Work Forum releated)

Can I use MacOS X Server and if it is was a Client? I read on Apple.Com that the Server is not the same as the Client as the Server does not support Carbon? Strange.

Is anyone using MacOS X Server as the default OS and if so, have they come across any complications? Is it as good as running as a client?

Any feedback will be gratefully received.

Thanks
