| Hi. I would like to replace the Finder by an other application (3DOSX for example, but it may be Terminal.app or my own browsing software). My question is : how to do ? how to avoid the Finder from starting up ? thank you, Pierre. |

| not exactly your question, but a related topic, you can quit finder from control clicking it on the dock, if you have a key in your dock preferences QuitFinder set to yes. use defaults or PropertyListEditor to achieve this. you can quit finder from the menu bar if you set QuitMenuItem in finder preferences to yes. this way you can quit finder only some of the times. not what you were asking, but nice to know anyway, i think |
