Problems with permissions and Apps

I'm using OS X version 10.3.9 and am having problems with using certain applications(ie saving in games),I have made myself an admin(its my dad's computer) and have changed all the details so that I can read and write on everything that has to do with the game,I have made myself the owner,and I have even tried making myself the user group,does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
