how to uninstall programs?

hey all.. im not a newbie to unix systems or what not (used linux for quite a while) but how do i go about un-installing a program?

its just ive got the older version of neoofficej and i saw the new version is out and want to install it..

nvm, i didnt relise it was just a delete of the .app

Also program information is usually kept in three places on an OS X (Tiger) system. The program itself. In you Home folder ~/Library/Application Support /and staying in your Home Folder, ~/Library/Preferences/ and look for a preference file of the program you want to throw out.
