Angry Forgot to upgrade OS 9.0 during OSX install: Now stuck in OS9

hi macheads,
I was upgrading a powermac g4 with OS 9.0.4 to Mac OS X 10.2.
It ran the install fine and when i booted up OS X, i found out that Classic wont work. Classic needs OS 9.2 or later. So i changed the startup disk while in OSX to the OS 9 System folder and booted up OS 9.
Then i popped in the OS 9.2 cd and booted up. During install it gave a warning that it wont be able to Upgrade OS 9.0.4 but i need to do a "Perform Clean Installation" install. The program said that it would install a new System folder and i would lose all my extensions, prefs etc.
I chickened out and stopped the install since i want to preserve my old OS 9 settings. But now, i got stuck in OS 9. I tried to change the startup disk in Control Panel but there was no startup disk listed for OS X !!
Holding down the option key during boot showed me just one System Folder for OS 9 availabe to boot. NO OS X !!
How do i reboot back into OS X without reinstalling OSX ??
If anyone has a solution please let me know.

Startup Disk Control Panel

You have a version that cannot properly set all the params X needs to boot. You may be able to get the control panel off the 9.2 or X boot disks.

Don't chicken out. Move the Finder file out of the System Folder and rename the System Folder. The mac will no longer view that as System Folder. The clean install will not delete it. You'll need to past it all back together later.

I have purged my Classic folder to just the stuff required for iMovie. iMovie in X is crap. Classic just takes up hard drivie space.

Option during boot will not see X unless it is on another partition.

Hope this helps.
