iPod 1.2 software causes battery drain?

hey there

has anyone else encountered problems with the battery draining after installing the 1.2 update? i never had problems with my iPod doing that until the update. I have it set to turn off after 15 minutes. However i won't use the iPod for maybe a week and when i try to use it the battery has drained or has 5 minutes of power. I fully charge it, use it for maybe an hour and then the next time i try to use it later there is no power.... i have the clock on, could that be draining the battery?

also, wierdly no matter which backlight time i choose the backlight always stays on.

anyone else encountering these problems? or know of possible fixes....

yeah, i did a search and one other person seemed to have the same type of battery drain i was, but no one posted a possible solution... but that post was awhile ago, maybe someone has heard something from apple about this problem...

ahh, ok. I didn't know that they didn't get it taken care of. Have you searched the apple knowledge base?
