| Newbie Problem: Clock, Volume etc gone from menu Hi all, Just joined today after finding this site whilst researching this problem. Great site! I have found several threads on this subject which don't quite solve my problem. As I said the menu icons have all vanished from 10.2.8 6r73 for some unknown reason. I have tried aquafix, deleting preferences etc but to no avail. The only thing left as far as I can see is a re-install but I reeeeeeeeally don't want to do one. Can anyone put their finger on the exact problem and solution? Eternally grateful if anyone can. |

| Try Preferences and re-enable such items? If you did any tweaking, revert or reinstall.

| Deleted preferences - no change If I click in preferences to show in menu the mac just unclicks it again I really don't want to re-install for what must be a precise problem with hopefully a precise solution. Surely it must be some pref or extension file or something that can be replaced? Anyone know the solution? |
