ipod query

dont know if this is the right forum ... but here goes

my ipod. i have 600 songs on it. if i take it to my uncles house and plug it into his eMac, how come i can't access any of the songs? Like, i can't drag and drop them from my ipod to his puter. do i actualy have to physically drag and drop the songs onto my ipod in order to give them to him, rather than just updating via itunes?

that is correct...

there are utilities that let you access the iPod's music from other computers but they are from third parties (look in versiontracker.com)

That feature is apple's nod to RIAA.
