localization problem with 10.2

hello,

i installed Mac OS X 10.2 a few days ago. just after the install, when i was browsing the finder, i noticed that the folder names (like 'Library', 'Applications','Users') were also localized (my main language is dutch). but then, some time later, i don't now when exactly, but on the same day, they were in english again. in some applications, when an open or save dialog appears, the folder names are still localized, but not in the finder.
why is this? can i change this?

thanks,
Jutho

I have the same prob. You can reset the language by renaming your home folder and re-logging in. This will cause the system to create a new home folder along with the relevant localization files.

However, the language reverts to EN (at least on my end) if one opens and closes the Finder prefs window or the System Prefs.

Very, very bad.

I found the solution:

surfing Apple's support pages can be very helpfull. it turns out that you have to leave off the option "always show file extensions" in the finder preferences.

Glad to be not the only one with this problem, hope they fix it soon
