| Weird alias-making side-effect I frequently make aliases of programs to put in a folder in my dock for easy access... and I've noticed something rather strange but explainable happening. If I, let's say, decide to make an alias of "Toast Titanium 5.2," I'll click and drag the Toast Titanium 5.2 application file to the desktop while holding command and option to make the alias... however, the alias reads "Toast Titanium 5" instead of "... 5.2" and I'm assuming this is because OS X is reading the letters after the final period as an extension, and therefore leaving it off. This didn't happen before 10.2. I guess it's good in a way -- like for AppleWorks, whose application name is "AppleWorks.app" and if you make an alias the way I described, it would read "AppleWorks" without the .app at the end... but for versioned programs, this kinda truncates the filename prematurely!
