No sound output in OS X

No sound output in OS X

Help! I posted this a couple of days ago but got no joy, so I'm posting again to see if anyone else can help me! I am running a beige desktop G3 with both System 9.2.2 and 10.1.2 When running 9.2.2, I am getting sound output as normal, but when I boot up in 10.1.2, I get no sound output at all. Does anybody know why this is?
