iSync on TiBook not syncing iCal to my .Mac

I can't seem to get iCal to synchronize to my .Mac account.

I have a 667Mhz TiBook w/512MB RAM. It seems to be able to upload my address book fine, but when it gets to iCal it just hangs with "Preparing to Synchronize." I don't have an iPod hooked up to it (although I have one but I'm waiting to see if this hooking up to .Mac works), nor do I have a Palm or bluetooth phone.

I just got a Dual 1Ghz tower that I'm trying to synchronize via .Mac, but all my important information is on the laptop. Given that, I've "successfully" synced to my .Mac account from the tower. But I say "successfully" because it didn't seem to download the address book information. I guess the address book never really went up since iSync hangs half way through.

The only other caveat I might have is the fact that I do subscribe to some calendars in iCal.

Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
