Question iTune Question

Last week I did an archival install of Jaguar 10.2 with the 10.2.1 update. I noticed that after I did the manual scan of my disk for MP3s that it found all the original enteries in the library (Multiple in alot of cases) however it did not bring over my established playlists. Is this normal or am I the only one experiencing this? I monitor several forums and have not seen this discussed. I will have to manually retrieve these lists from the previous system folder or try to recreate them. Thanks for any input or comments
