| I have been running OSX V10.2.1 since it was released in New Zealand and am very happy with it but have a few small questions. 1. Is there any way to turn off the fail safe message when I shut down my G4? I can not remember ever having told the computer to shut down when I really did not want it to shut down. 2. The little time on line clock which shows up in the menu bar when I log on does not seem to do anything but sit on 00:00:00. Do I need to turn something on? 3. Lastly, is there any way to customize my startup screen picture as I was able to do in OS9? DrMac |

| 1) Hold down option while selecting Shut Down. It won't ask you if you're sure anymore. Or, if you're using some sort of key combination to Shut Down, just throw the option key in there as well and it won't ask for confirmation, either. 2) Others are having the same problem. Dunno how to fix it. 3) There are hacks out there that bring back the old smiley Mac and what-not -- you might want to do a search for things such as "startup screen" or something similar on versiontracker.com.
