| HD performance testing software This weekend i bought a firewire enclosure from Compusa at a awesome price. I get it home and find out its a IBM 40GB 120GXP 7200RPM drive attached to a Oxford 911 chipset. I also found that a ATA 66/100/133 cable is not used on the drive. I would like to do some testing to see how well this drive scores with and without the better cable. So i am in search of a program to test my drives (40 GBmain system, 10GB firewire, 10GB iPod, and 40 GB Firewire). I would prefer to test in X orver 9, but ultimately i would test both. Please list for me as well as other readers software titles that you would recommend. The more detailed the benchmark is the better. Thanks |

| Goto www.versiontracker.com and search for Xbench, it's an OS X benchmarking program that will test your hard drives and your whole system if you'd like.
