Console Crash at startup

I've installed Jaguar on my DP 500 and i am getting the strangest error. I can get past the startup screen to the log in screen, once i log in the finder doesn't come up, instead an error saying that console has crashed. Once i hit ok it keeps coming back up. The only other thing on the screeen is the time and volume. I tried reinstalling using the upgrade and archive with no luck. I tried the startup while holding shift. Still no luck, what can i do to get past this buggy problem. I would like to know if there is a way to get my root user to come us and see if that helps. I can't afford to do a clean install, so any knowledge is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Delyon
