Email Access Issue

I upgraded my Graphite ABS to a SMC Router. I lost all email access. I called SMC and they had me open ports 110 and 25 on the router. Unfortunately, I still am not able to access my email. My theory is that I have to set up some sort of access on my Mac. I am running 10.2 Jaguar. When I check my emil on Apple's mail, the error message says port 110 is blocked. When I use Entourage X, I get an error .
