On all Unix-like systems, this means that the symbolic link named 'std' points to the current directory, i.e. accessing ./foo is the same as accessing ./std/foo, or even ./std/std/std/foo, for all filenames foo.

While not knowing enough about your concrete situation, working with C++ this would typically be done to make '#include <std/bla.h>' work when, in fact, the include files were not in a subdirectory called 'std'.

(A situation that can be easily solved with streplace, cf. http://jo.ath.cx/soft/streplace/streplace.html , via 'streplace -xrC "<std/=<" .').

links

Links can ppoint to files, devices, other links even nothing at all

ln -s /etc/httpd/httpd.conf $HOME/Desktop/apache.conf

A file apache.conf will appear on your desktop, if you edit that file you will be editing the config files for your Macs Apache server, which is stored elswhere.

Hi

Yah this is all right Sir.

But now i am trying to clarify the issue.

I mean may be possible CodeWarrior(CW) IDE have some special setting for search in symbolic linked directory.Because I think that it does not metter that symbolic link is to current Directory or files, devices, or any other directory it's work well.

because as I write that 'std ->.'. I am including one header file "string"
present in this directory "/usr/include/gcc/darwin/2.95.2/g++"
and in the same directory this symbolic link exist(std ->.) this "string" file contain this inclusion "#include<std/bastring.h>" and CodeWarrior IDE display the error message as I mentioned in the original Question. I create an empty project and then set it for Mach-O Target in CW IDE.

While i am able to create this project using GCC compiler directly or using Xcode IDE successfully.

so i figure out that may be this is the problem with CW IDE or it may need some special setting.

sorry if i am bothering you and
i am grateful to you if you clarify me about it.

Thanks & Regards,
Ramkisaur
