problem with Setup Assistant

Hi,

I am trying to transfer the contents of my old (2002, 10.3.9) iBook to my new (G4) iBook. I followed the FireWire transfer prompts in Setup Assistant. I've seen this done before, so I was expecting my new computer to be a clone of my old machine. However, all that transferred, as far as I can tell, were my user account and my applications. None of my documents (iTunes music, photos, AppleWorks, Word docs, Mail, etc.) came over, nor did any of my system preferences. I tried again with Migration Assistant, but no luck. Is there something really obvious I'm missing? Any ideas?
