| "not Responding" I'm running on 10.3.9 and am having big problems with Safari, Mail, Address Book and Installer. Each time I try to open any of these programs (or try to upgrade with a Version Tracker or Apple.com file), I get a message that the program is "not responding" and the program will never open. please help |

| I know it sounds generic (it is), but try repairing permissions (Disk Utility). |

| reply I couldn't even open the disk utility either. I've re-loaded system 10.3.9. all is working for now, but I've lost all address and emails from my old files. I did not do a clean install, so all my other files are still intact. I'll add another post asking about how to retreive address, etc. thanks |

| You can try using the Disk Utility that's on the installation DVD for Panther. Boot from the CD and try that. |
