Getting old mailboxes into Mail

Hey guys! Thanks for any help with this...

I recently lost all the data on my old harddrive, and I'm trying to load my backups of my email archives onto my new harddrive. Simply dragging the .mbox files from library/mail/mailboxes/ was good enough for most of the folders I had set up, but the main Inbox doesn't load in when I do that. What can I do to get my old Inbox emails in Mail?
