OSX/PB G3/266 serial port printing

How do I configure my Powerbook G3/266 running 10.2 to print from my Laserwriter Pro 600 connected via the serial port?

Have you tried going to the print centre, add new printer and from the pull down choose the AppleTalk protocol? It may be recognized through that method? My serial HP is using that method ...
