| Creating beats I'm want to start creating my own beats, I'm a novice and have never tried this before, I've got Garageband but wondered if their is anything out there better but still simple enough for beginners?

| Yep. Garageband is Logic for beginners. Not much sense in using anything else - unless you want to go Logic Express or Logic.
