| My number pad is dead Mysteriously my number pad stopped working. The =/*-+ enter, clear, vol up, vol down, mute, and eject buttons are still fine, but all 10 digits and the decimal don't do anything when I push them. Num lock is not the problem. Any ideas? I'm running OS 10.2.8 Thanks! |

| Try this: Press and hold the number 4 on your numpad... Does the cursor move to the left? If so, you should go to the Universal Access preference pane in System Preferences and look for a setting called Mouse Keys, possibly under the "Mouse" tab and disable that setting. I think there may be a hot-key that toggles this behavior. In Tiger there is a checkbox that states "Press Option 5 times to turn Mouse Keys on or off". |

| I think it's the accessibility prefpane, not Mouse... Ah, I guess you meant the Mouse tab in the accessibility pane. ![]()
