| Database Application Hello, Is there an application like MS Access for Mac OSX my problem is i have switched to mac but i have some .mdb databases with forms and want to use them on mac but don't know if there are any database applications for Mac OSX? Best Regards Kris |

| The most similar app would be FileMaker Pro as it combines database and user interface features. Though it won't read the *.mdb files. You would need to export the data as text first, create a new FileMaker Pro database with the same fields, then import that data. Obviously you would need to do the export on a pc (or virtual pc) where Access could run. Or as the previous post said, just get a copy of Virtual PC and run all your pc apps including Access. |

| Unfortunately there is nothing that is Access compatable on the Macintosh. There are many alternatives. None that are as easy to integrate a DB with a front end application (to my knowledge) but most are much more powerful than access. |
