Question Lotus Notes 5 conflict

Morning to you all.
Here at work we are in the throws of upgrading our Lotus Notes to version 5 but, and it's a pretty fat butt, our technical support team have told us that, if we do, it'll clash with OSX. We haven't yet made the move to X but were about to.
Does anyone out there know anything about this? How do we get around it? We're gonna need to make the switch to OSX at some point afterall.

Cheers.
Ben.
