Cant see a posting relating to this problem so.... I use 10.2 on a wall street 233 powerbook, runs fine, but every time I try to open Sherlock it gives me an error message stating I cannot run it unless I connect to the internet. I use this machine primarily for learning 10.2 and rarely connect to the net with it, so does anyone know a way around this? Thanks

Sherlock needs to be connected to work. If you just want to search your disk, use the Find menu.

Thanks for the answer, seems a bit extreme to stop Sherlock functioning at all if you are not connected though. Oh well, Apple do have their little quirks. Thanks again.
