    Help! Menus don't stay open

Here's a weird one for you. I'm one of those "click on menu, release button, point to choice, click" people. (Maybe everyone is like that now.)

Suddenly, the menus on my new iMac, which has been mostly quirk free, will not stay open until I have a chance to select a menu item. (10.2.2)

Anyone seen this? Know a solution?

    thx!

Never seen _that_ since Mac OS 7.6.1, I believe. Sticky menus were introduced in 8.0 afaik. And I haven't yet seen that bug you're talking about in Mac OS X.

    Nostalgia?

Definitely a blast from the past!

Thanks for the suggestion, Boi. I thought of that, but I'm working on uptime. For fun. You know.

Logging out won't ruin Uptime, silly. Rebooting will though.

I'm having the same problem in 10.2.3, quite often in fact. Anyone else with the problem in 10.2.3?

Logging out and back in does resolve the problem, but it always seems to return.
