Brand new G5 imac starts up with just loud fans

I turn on the computer and the front light comes on ... no startup sound ... then silence for about 30 seconds then the fans kick in full belt and the screen remains black ... Any tips

Also, It wont let me eject the blank DVD that was in before the crash ... I was using final cut pro and limewire on and off today but nothing crazy .

Again, Just a loud fan and a black screen.
