dmg mounting failure haven't been able to mount .dmg files for a few weeks now. Cleared my cache and tried again. No go. Followed some advice to move my com.apple.kernelcaches file and my Extensions.kextcache to my desktop...still no go. Warning reason reads "no mountable file systems". I'd appreciate any help.

| What version of OS X? Does this happen with all .dmg's?

I also couldn't mount DMG files. It always said when you click to open it "no mountable file systems" Would it have to do with the amount of free space or what? It cannot mount a single DMG file (even the ones I tried to redownload)

Earlier versions of Mac OS X had some issues regarding this but it may depend also on where you are downloading the .dmg files from. If using Panther, read this. If using Tiger, Right/Control + Click the .dmg and tell me if you see this option: ![]() . Last edited by VirtualTracy; May 15th, 2008 at 08:25 PM.

I downloaded the MOUNT application as it said that it should help, but it just says something like the downloaded thing may be corrupt. Any help?
