| imac 9.1 updated to OSX- now no applications!! i got an imac (my first), with OS 9 on it, but had the OSX update disk, so i downloaded 9.1 to be able to keep my classic programmes. after 8 hours of downloading i installed OSX onto the system successfully, after about an hour the system crashed, i switched off the machine at the power button on the montior (which i now believe to be incredibly stupid) and when i switched on again my desktop still has all of the programmes but whenever i try to open them it says 'no application is available to open this document 'adobe photoshop'. not only will the programmes not open but also things like 'system preferences' are impossible to get into. im at a loose end- i cant find help anywhere!! i hope you can help me! |

| Might want to try to simply install OS X over it again, as if you were "updating" OS X to OS X.
