Window Widgets Disapeared in Brushed Metal Apps

What the heck?
I think the culprit was Duality. Since installing the 10.2.3 update Duality refused to install any other theme (not to mention it reverted to the default theme - altho the bootup screen is still my old theme) and since I have the trial version - the wait time went from a couple of seconds before the 10.2.3 update, to over 100 seconds after.

The theme I was using before the update was Brushed 2.1.

I have just now noticed the problem with the disapearing widgets - it only happens on apps that use the Brushed Metal look. The Widgets are fine on Aqua apps.

I have downloaded the newer Brushed theme from http://homepage.mac.com/max_08/ but Duality refuses to install it saying it's not for my version of OSX - even tho the website says 10.2 - 10.2.3.

Can anyone help me either get the GUI back to normal - or make the Brushed Duality theme work?

Nevermind! It's OK now!

Duality (Beta) finally decided to allow me to install the Brushed theme - and everything is the way I want it now! Altho I have no idea if I can go back to the default Aqua look - not that I care (for now, at least).

*Sigh* All the poor lost souls who tried to install an old Theme after the 10.2.3 update. You're only user #15523864 who's come upon this problem and complained about it even though there are about a million threads all over the internet about it. I've grown tired of helping you..

Therefore I am glad you figured it out yourself.

Though I too am having a problem with Duality not installing Themes specifically made for 10.2.3. (They even have the Version option in the PLIST file set to 10.2.3 but it just doesn't work.)

The problem wasn't caused by me trying to run an old theme after the 10.2.3 update. The update killed my theme and I never restored it. This problem just suddenly appeared.

But I fixed it with the Beta version of Duality 4.0.
