Mail V 1.1 not removing mail from server

Hello,

I work for am ISP and we have a customer running MAC OS X, Early version as its running Mac Mail 1.1 which had a date stamp of 2002.

When the customer downloads messages from server the messages are not being removed from the server, however the settings to remove messages from server seem to be enabled. Any Ideas? If anyone has a website that shows screen prints of the accounts screens in Mail 1.1 that would be a help as its quite foreign to the version I use.
