Angry Trying upgrade Powerbook G3 (Pismo) to Mac OS 10.3

I get this Darwin Code error when trying to Boot from Mac OS X 10.3 install disk.

i currently use Mac OS 9.2.2 400Mhz, 256MB RAM, 6GB HD

The error message has a whole bunch of numbers and other sutff but this what caught my attention.

panic (cpu 0) unable to find driver for this platform: “PowerBook3,1”

panic: We are hanging here…

I tried zapping the PRAM, the firmware and software updates are up to date.

I bought this Mac OS X install CDs from the apple store it did not come from another machine.

Usually means the disc came from another machine, or the disc is bad.

Take it back to the Apple store along with your Pismo and show them.
