Have you tried clearing the Caches?
Hey,
I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.5. This problem has been present since 10.4.3
Basically, Safari will load the homepage, and then freeze with the spinning beachball, etc, and then close. I've trashed plists, etc, not done a thing.
Same goes for Shiira, Camino, Firefox, Ominweb, Internet Explorer (oh noes!), and pretty much any other browser, except Opera. But I expect that it will fall ill to this problem.
It doesn't really happen anywhere else, just on the internet browsers.

Yeah, I tried that for Safari, did nothing.

Tried if it still works for another user?
Mac user since 1987. Running Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion on a MacBook Air 11" & an iMac 27" and whatever's newest for my iPhone 4s, iPad 3 and AppleTV 2.

It actually doesn't. The second user account was present when the problem occurred on my account, so I made a new one and tried that... all three have problems with all the browsers (except Opera).

I would try clearing all the Caches for the entire system. Use Yasu, Onyx, Cocktail, etc.
Alright, thanks, I'll get back to you.
